going to just fill the hole in the bezel (on the clk) with black resin and call that project done, I think the CLK looks better without the hood star, I am going to do some work to the grill later on as well and try to make the god awful replacement air dam better looking but this make be beyond my autobody skill level, I think they spray bombed rock guard on an ugly fiberglass front bumper. So at this point all I have accomplished is to steal the hood star off the car for my C280, which never came with the star only the bezel it sits in, I think they both look better for the swap. I would like to bypass the relay but am a bit fuzzy on how to do this and I don't think this is actually the problem anyway. I may not have found a decent ground though. I read that you are supposed to get 12v from pin 30 but was unable to see this. I suppose that I am going to try swapping out the starter from the w202 next and see if that does the trick. I swapped the relay from my w202 and got multiple clunks, but still no spin, It appears to want to turn over but wont for as yet unknown reason. I was able to get the starter to clunk but it wont spin. I have charged the battery and load tested it, am pretty happy with the results. Previous owner had the computer out and apparently changed the crank sensor. I got this car dead and am hoping to reverse this condition. Well the weather has improved a bit and I have started to look at the beast, I think it is going to be named Brutus.
